The usage temperature of refractory bricks should be distinguished based on the material of the refractory bricks. For example, refractory bricks can be divided into five categories according to their composition: silicon aluminum series refractory bricks, alkaline series refractory bricks, carbon containing refractory bricks, zirconium containing refractory bricks, and insulation refractory bricks. The usage temperature of these refractory bricks is different. The usage temperature of refractory bricks containing carbon and zirconium is above 1900 ℃, the usage temperature of silicon aluminum refractory bricks is between 1500 ℃ and 1750 ℃, and insulation refractory bricks are used as insulation type refractory bricks, usually between 1200 ℃ and 1500 ℃. High alumina refractory bricks are used in the high-temperature area of the lining of kilns, and the usage area is between 1300 and 1400 ℃. If it exceeds 1400 ℃, it is necessary to use anti peeling high alumina refractory bricks or corundum bricks. The high alumina refractory bricks used in the burner should be made of mullite refractory bricks or corundum mullite refractory bricks, with a service temperature of 1300~1600 ℃. It is resistant to high temperatures and is also wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and flexible. If andalusite or cordierite are added to high alumina bricks, this special refractory brick can be used at temperatures between 1350 and 1500 ℃.
Ordinary clay refractory bricks have good thermal shock resistance and are used for lining general kilns. The usage temperature is around 1250 ℃. If it is a low gas clay brick, it can be used in glass kilns and some special kiln linings. The operating temperature is above 1350 ℃. If andalusite or cordierite is added to clay refractory bricks, the operating temperature should be above 1400 ℃.
The use temperature of corundum refractory bricks is higher, above 1700 ℃. And it has high strength. Corundum refractory bricks mixed with silicon carbide refractory bricks not only have high temperature resistance, good strength, but also excellent wear resistance. If it is an alkali resistant refractory brick, the general use temperature of alkali resistant bricks is below 1200 ℃. If it is a magnesium based alkaline brick, the usage temperature is between 1500-1650 ℃.
If it is a series of lightweight clay refractory bricks, the temperature used in the insulation zone is in the range of 1000-1200 ℃. If it is a lightweight high alumina refractory brick, it is used in the insulation area. It serves as insulation and is used at temperatures between 1200-1350 ℃. It can only be used for insulation and cannot be used in the working layer. The mullite lightweight refractory bricks used in the insulation layer are still used at temperatures between 1400 and 1500 ℃. If it is an alumina hollow ball refractory brick, it can be used as an insulation area or directly as a working layer, with a temperature range of 1600-1700 ℃.
